ABOUT RACHEL
I wrote in my 8th grade yearbook that I wanted to be a “horse photographer” when I grew up.
I began riding lessons at 12 years old, shortly after picking up photography as a hobby. I would spend hours photographing the horses at the barn, earnestly trying to capture what I loved so much about them. Today, horses are still my favourite muse.
Growing up as an equestrian, I know how incredible it feels to have a close bond with your horse. He is different than a pet, and more than a teammate. It’s an indescribable feeling in the ring when you are completely in sync, and the rest of the world melts away. Or when you’re out for a sunset graze, simply enjoying each other’s presence.
As a photographer, I hope to bottle up that feeling for you and deliver it in timeless images so you are transported back to this moment for years to come.

Behind my business
In my early teens, I began a partnership with Roy, a special pony with four white socks. Roy and I competed on the Central West Trillium circuit from 2009-2011, until he injured his leg and had to retire from the show ring. Those jumper shows with Roy were some of the most special days of my life.
Roy is the inspiration and the heart behind what I do. When I pick up my camera to photograph you, I strive to capture the unique connection you share with your horse.
